Design

Fashioned by designer Martin Brudnizki, one of the most closely watched young talents in hospitality design, Betel was born with Brudnizki’s trademark “minimalism deluxe” style, seen in previous projects: Cecconi’s West Hollywood (Los Angeles) and Soho Beach House (Miami).

The industrial chic environment Betel embodies takes advantage of exposed brick and bleached woods. Modern light fixtures and hexagonal concrete floor tiles add to the rustic backdrop, while a dramatic 24-seat bar with bold red stools and an aged pewter top provides a focal point for the space. A second 20-seat high bar constructed from chopping block and reclaimed timber provides another layer of standing or sitting room for casual nibbling.

The dramatic windows open onto Grove Street during the warmer months. A 20-seat lounge discretely positioned behind the bar features wood paneling, inset mirrors and low seating, perfect for private dinners or cocktail parties.
